Dr. Julia Watkins

Gynecologist

Dr. Julia Watkins enjoys caring for women at all stages of their lives. She is the founder of West Little Rock Women’s Center and considers it a great privilege to develop long-term relationships with her patients. In addition to being board certified in gynecology and obstetrics, Dr. Watkins is a certified bone densitometrist who helps patients identify and manage bone loss. She also specializes in contraception, abnormal bleeding and menopausal issues, among other women’s health issues. She is also a Board Certified NAMS (North American Menopause Society) Provider.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Rhodes College in 1983, Dr. Watkins earned a medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis in 1988. She completed her OB-GYN residency at the University of Arkansas for Health Sciences in 1992. Dr. Watkins cared for patients at an area women’s center before opening West Little Rock Women’s Center in 2011.

Dr. Watkins is the mother of two daughters and is an active volunteer.

 

Dr. Kimberly Reynolds

Gynecologist

Dr. Kimberly Reynolds is a board certified OB/GYN specializing in comprehensive gynecologic services. Her practice focuses on annual exams, contraceptive management, menopausal issues, as well as, both in-office and minimally invasive surgical procedures including the DaVinci Robotic Surgical System.

Dr. Reynolds, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, and completed her Obstetric and Gynecology residency at UAMS in 2011.

Dr. Reynolds is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Diplomat of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a Board Certified NAMS (North American Menopause Society) Provider. She is an active member of the Pulaski County Medical Society and the Central Arkansas OB/GYN Society.

Dr. Reynolds has three beautiful children and is happily married to her husband, Kirk Reynolds, MD, who is an Orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. In her free time, Dr. Reynolds enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending as much time as possible with her family. 


Dr. Julie Goodwin

Gynecologist

Dr. Julie Goodwin is a board certified OB/GYN specializing in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) including robotics. She has a MIGS Focused Practice Designation from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology which is awarded to those physicians who have achieved the highest standards in minimally invasive surgical techniques. Her goal is to reduce women's fear of surgery through education and preparation. MIGS procedures, including hysterectomies, myomectomies, and endometriosis resections can have a streamlined recovery with same day discharge, minimal to no need for pain meds postoperatively, and allow a quick return to normal life. 

Dr. Goodwin is a native of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and attended Texas Christian University for her undergraduate degrees. She then attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and completed her OB/GYN residency at St. Louis University in 2015. 

Dr. Goodwin is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomat of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also an active member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. 

Dr. Goodwin is married to her husband John Goodwin, MD, a Gastroenterologist in North Little Rock. Together they have 3 great boys who keep everything messy, loud, and fun! Dr. Goodwin loves to spend time with family near and far, read, snow ski near Lake Tahoe, and cheer on her alma mater the TCU Horned Frogs. 


Sarah Holland

APRN

Sarah Holland joined West Little Rock Women’s Center in late 2018. She is a board certified women’s health nurse practitioner who strives to improve the quality of life and health care outcomes in the female population. Sarah has a passion for her patients and strives to make your visit as comfortable and influential as possible. Her practice includes serving women of all ages for annual exams, contraceptive management, and gynecological problems.

Sarah and her husband are Arkansas natives who met during their undergraduate studies at Arkansas Tech University, where she received her Bachelors of Nursing Science. She then furthered her education by completing her graduate studies at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. There she received her Masters of Nursing Science with an emphasis in women’s health. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their outgoing and loving young son who is the light of their lives.

In Memory: Becca Rasco Mehlin

Becca Rasco Mehlin was a nurse practitioner and valued member of our office staff from May 2009 until her death in February 2018. Becca was a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse and was certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2000 with a master’s degree in nursing science. She also attended the University of Mississippi and obtained her BSN degree from the University of Tennessee/Memphis Center of Health Sciences. She was a faculty member in the College of Nursing at UAMS for 10 years.

We remember Becca fondly and will continue to treat her patients with the high quality of care that she provided. Becca loved taking care of her patients, and had a true calling for women’s healthcare. She is greatly missed by her coworkers and her loyal patients.
